Jeep is introducing the Avenger 4xe, a compact crossover promising off-road capability! Instead of a fully electric model with four-wheel drive, Jeep has opted to create a 4×4 version using the mild-hybrid setup from the already available e-Hybrid platform.

The Avenger 4xe, which will feature four-wheel drive, will be powered by a 1.2-liter gasoline engine combined with two electric motors.

Despite the small battery, Jeep’s ‘power looping’ technology ensures four-wheel drive regardless of the charge level. While there are doubts about its off-road capability, the company promises a confident driving experience on challenging terrains. The 4xe model is set to be launched before the end of 2024, complementing the already available ‘e-Hybrid’ version.

The Avenger 4xe is part of Jeep’s strategy to expand its electric offering in Europe by 2025 and become fully electric in the region by 2030. Additionally, the vehicle features a range of design characteristics inspired by the brand’s core principles, such as freedom and authenticity, and is designed to offer an authentic Jeep driving experience both on and off the road.

With its expanded range of electric models, Jeep aims to capitalize on the growing demand for electrified vehicles and meet the expectations of European consumers in terms of performance, range, and off-road capability.

The company is also confident in its success, based on the significant increase in global sales since the beginning of the decade and the positive feedback on its hybrid models in the US and the UK.
